Malibu features 21 miles of beaches, and each beach has its own unique character. Some attract surfers and beachgoers, while others have protected marshes and wildlife preserves. Some are lively and crowded, while others are traquil and secluded.

Vasquez Rocks

About 35 mi east of Los Angeles is one of LA’s most unique and breathtaking state parks. This high desert park is known for its dramatic rock formations and desert native plants. Its famous as setting for hundreds of iconic movies and TV shows, including Star Trek, Planet of the Apes, and The Twilight Zone.

 

 

Griffith Observatory

Opened in 1935 and situated in Griffith Park, Griffith Observatory is the world’s most visited observatory. lt boasts views of downtown Los Angeles, the Hollywood Hills, the iconic Hollywood Sign, Griffith Park and the Pacific Ocean. The Art Deco style building has beautiful architectural features and decorative Beaux Arts detailing. Hundreds of films have been shot there, including Rebel Without a Cause, The Terminator, and La La Land.
